IGNITE the Hackintosh

Here’s my slides from the first Ignite Denver along with all the others…as you can guess from this entry’s title, I did the one on Hackintosh.  The get-together was a blast, and there were some really fun and informative presentations given!

Off-Topic: Support a Flex developer with his alter-ego download his album for *cheap*

As I prep for a weekend of rehearsal in smelly Tacoma, WA I ran across my band’s album on Amie Street.  Right now until a certain number of people download it, it’s free. [UPDATED 9/13/08:  The album is no longer free but it's very cheap still.  As of 9/13/08 it's $1.70] So, if you’re looking for some hard 90′s rock check it out.

Here’s the link: http://amiestreet.com/artist/bucket/

A little background, the album was recorded by Jack Endino in Seattle back in 1993.  I was 18 at the time and the lead singer.  We parted ways, for the usual reasons a band parted ways, I became a tech in 1999…now I’m the Flex developer that you all know that loves talking about Flex Builder, optimization, and memory management.

This year my band got back together. They’ve been rehearsing in WA and I’ve been rehearing with them through the power of the Internet, Adobe Audition, and the traffic here in CO. [UPDATED 9/13/08: We're now on a monthly, bi-monthly full band rehearsal schedule where I fly out to WA.  Also, we have our first set of new gigs coming here in Nov. or Dec.  check the MySpace page for updated details.] Needless to say, I’m pumped and ready to start gigging again…perfect complement to my daytime life.

Anyway…I’m done rambling.  If you want to know more, feel free to friend us.  I know it’s MySpace, but to be quite honest…that’s where the bands are.

In the next blog post…back on with the tech hat. ;-)
